McKenna’s Senior Session in a Lavender Field in Eau Claire, WI

What an honor it was to photograph this beautiful girl surrounded by the blooming lavender fields. Senior sessions are always some of my favorites because they capture such a unique season of life. It's the final chapter of childhood before so many new beginnings—graduation, college, careers, and all the exciting unknowns that come with stepping into adulthood. Every time I photograph a senior, I'm reminded just how quickly time passes and how important it is to pause and celebrate the season they're in right now.

McKenna is truly one of the sweetest people you'll ever meet. As the oldest of eight siblings, she carries herself with so much grace and maturity. She's responsible, kind, confident, hardworking, and a natural leader, but what stood out to me most was the genuine joy she brings wherever she goes. From the moment we started, this session was full of laughter, wandering through the lavender rows, and yes—a little bit of sweating under the summer sun! Those are always the sessions that end up being the most memorable.

One of my favorite things about photographing seniors is getting to see each person's personality shine through. McKenna has such a quiet confidence about her, and it was so fun capturing the joy, beauty, and excitement that this season holds. I have no doubt she's going to continue making a positive impact on the people around her, wherever life takes her.
